Siu and I are hoping to spend about 4 to 5 weeks away, starting in Hong Kong for a friends wedding, then visiting a few places we both haven’t been to before.

Hopefully the 4 to 5 weeks will be long enough break, in effort to allow me to forget the daily grind of work. Don’t get me wrong, my job is good and satisfying but I need a break…. building your career is tough work. :/

This holiday, I’m particularly looking forward to:

spending time with Siu (awww ;)….)

buying more camre gear, namely the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 (drools….)

relaxing at a resort in Phuket (the sun… doing nothing….)

seeing Japan and their beautiful buildings, people and gardens (new lens hopefully put to good use….)

Planning wise, Siu and I are still looking for the best deals. We’re trying all kinds of combinations, including Hong Kong packages to Beijing, Phuket and Japan. Its tough work, but thankfully Siu can speak Canto

This trip surprisingly times well with my work. Our major release of our flagship product isdue out for Release Candidate by October, which means all the big and nasty bugs will have been squished

That’s all for me now, have to get to bed early tonight for a company brief early tomorrow morning.

For those who follow my blog, which I know there are very few, I thought I’d share my passion for cars, since this is probably the only thing I can really write about regularly! This is my current ‘pride and joy’, which takes me away from the daily grind. Imported from Japan, via International Motor Group in Sydney, this vehicle set me back a large amount of money. My friends know that I’m a Skyline nut. I’ve owned an R33 GTS-T Series 2 and an R34 GT-T as well. This is the ultimate of them all, with a few exceptions, like the R34 GTR V-Spec 2 Nur and M-Spec editions, and of course, the new R35 GTR. I tell my brother, one day, one day I’ll have one of those in my garage

More pictures and stats to come shortly. I may even write a bit about my previous rides.

Siu and I ordered 3 rolls, 1 main, 1 soup and 2 glasses of wine. Having dessert now….

This month, Siu and I, celebrated our monthly anniversary at Sushi e. Located at the Establishment Hotel, which is a well known bar scene for picking up in Sydney, we were greeted very politely at the side-entrance. Proceeding down the narrow hallway, we were greeted by a lift-man and the other staff, as they directed us up the lifts to Level 4 and down the the back to find Sushi-e.

The mood gives you a sense that you’re in a really trendy scene. Why do I say that? Well, if you knew me in person, you would know that I’m not exactly the bar or dance-party type of person. So, yes, that is my perception of such a place.

There were 4 japanese chefs, in a moderate size seating area, which makes the whole experience very personalised.

When we joined the table, our chef was sharing some sake with the guys next to us. I’m not the kind of person who openly converses with strangers, so I guess I would have been seen a little guarded at first. Oh wellz, I guess that’s the job of the chef here, to break the ice. And he did.

We ordered a lot of food! because we wanted to try so many things. Here’s our order list…

1x Glass of Trimbach Riesling
1x Glass of Torbreck (can’t remember exactly)
1x Sashimi Small
1x River Chicken
1x Soft Shell Crab
1x Dobinmushi
1x Dragon Ash Roll
1x Suki Yaki

Total = $144.00, plus tip.

Overall, I highly recommend this place. Check it out, here.

My girlfriend, was working up in Brisbane, Queensland, in March for a few weeks, so we took advantage of that by me traveling up to some sights together in and around Brisbane and Cairns.

On our Cairns trip, day 1, we went on a Daintree + Cape Tribulation tour. We traveled in a very luxurious 4wd vehicle, pictured below, which seated about 8, in leather chairs, with individual air-conditioning ducts. It was very comfortable for a trip into the outback!

1491

We passed many interesting sights, and took heaps of photos, as usual. This one was taken from the 4wd was moving, as we were driving up to Cape Tribulation. I get an eerie feeling when I look at this photo for a while. It’s like I’m lost, on the road-side.

622

More from this trip, later.
